Signs are everywhere. They inform, warn, and advertise, but they also intrigue us by their design and placement. They are aesthetically pleasing, ugly, or mediocre; they communicate well or poorly; they are frequently crude or misspelled; but they are always worth looking at.

This is a collection of photographs of signs, most of which were found in San Diego, California. There was something about each sign that caught my eye: a combination of colours, a curious phrasing or spelling, a typeface, a shape. They are all beautiful in their own way. I hope you enjoy them.
